The debate about whether it’s best to blog as one portal on a massive system – like Bloogger.com – or have a stand-alone blog (like mine) will run and run. If you have a website which has a blog application, this is probably your best course – as long as it’s user friendly. But my top choice for blogging is WordPress because it is open access, has masses of useful plugins, can be made very search engine friendly and is used so widely that support is readily available (if needed).

It depend what level of quality you want and also the subject matter. You could look at elance and odesk, but I tend to use copywriters that I’ve got to know in face to face networking.

Title content help with ranking but should never be written solely for this in mind – they also need to describe the content and attract the potential human visitor. Avoid giving two posts the same time or the search engines could penalise you for duplicate content.

You can associate a blog to any normal website domain name that you’ve purchased. The website does not have to be WordPress based to use a WordPress blog with the same domain name. I hope that help.

Bookmarking new pages and blog posts is a good way of getting the search engines to index your new content quickly. The visits that it generates aren’t focussed – so the visitors tend to be more ‘browsers’ than potential buyers. This could harm rankings due to high bounce rate, but I think the brand awareness it generates is worth it if your content is good. I recommend setting up some auto bookmarketing for situations where you generate an RSS feed – like WordPress blogs.
